This web-site is designed for UW-Madison Project Managers and aspiring Project Managers responsible for small to medium-sized campus projects. The goals are to:
- Promote working with and learning from cross-campus Project Managers with a focus on best practices in initiating, planning, scheduling, executing, controlling, leading, managing, and closing a project
- Provide proven project management tools and templates
- Expand the use of project management practices on campus
- Enhance the network of Project Managers
FYI - October 1, 8, 15, 22, 29, 2008 - Only a few seats remain for the upcoming - UW Madison Project Management Symposium - This 5 session series includes an overview of the Project Management Framework and specific tools, templates, processes, and best practices to manage each phase of a project (Conceptualizating, Initiating, Planning/Scheduling, Executing/Controlling, and Closing.) There is no fee for this symposium, but registration is required. Attendance is limited to those on campus actively working (or soon to be working) on a campus project.
If you have attended one of the symposium's in the past, you may register for the October 29, 2008 session that will focus on UW Madison Project Management Advanced Topics - This advanced session will provide templates, tools, and techniques to help project managers with project closeouts. There is no fee for this session, but advanced registration is required.
We welcome your ideas, best practices, and suggestions in our quest to enhance the value of this site. Contact Information:
