Showcase Reflects on Progress and Accomplishments

April 4th marked the sixth anniversary of UW-Madison's annual improvement Showcase, a time set aside to reflect on and recognize the significant efforts by many people to improve work, learning, and climate on campus. New for this year were Early Bird sessions and online technology demonstrations.

Reflecting on what we've accomplished spurs us on to become even more effective. Chancellor Wiley challenged Showcase organizers to find more ways disseminate the excellent ideas and reminded us about the "small world concept" where each person telling 2-3 others provides an exceptionally powerful communication medium. He also challenged each Showcase poster exhibitor to become an ambassador for helping others learn from their experiences and to strive to quantify the benefits and savings in terms of time, cost, and quality.
